We're a group of at least four (and maybe as many as seven) hobbyist game developers based in Cambridge, England. We originally started writing games for the fifth bi-annual PyWeek game programming challenge. If you're not familiar with the challenge, it's a one week long event where entrants (either solo or in teams) attempt to write a full game in a week inspired by a theme released at the start of the week. There are a few rules: Python has to be the programming language of choice, very recently released/updated libraries cannot be used, etc.

We wrote a whimsical construction sort of game called "Wound Up!" which we were very surprised was rated highest amongst the team entries. Since then we have made regular appearances in PyWeek and have branched out, writing mini-libraries for game development and starting other experimental projects. We're still pretty new in the scheme of things but we've been continually stretching the bounds of what one can do in a week, developing our own skills as well as the tools we (and everyone else) have to work with.
